No injuries occurred and minimal damage happened after a structure fire Thursday in Mexico.
Just before 3:50 p.m., Mexico Public Safety Department personnel responded to the 800 block of West Liberty regarding a structure fire, according to a news release.
“Responding personnel found fire in the wall of a shop near where some welding equipment had been used,” the release stated, noting the fire was contained and extinguished with minimal damage to the building and that no injuries occurred.
