Four people were arrested May 16 after they allegedly broke into abandoned hospital property in Mexico, according to a Mexico Public Safety Department release.
Those arrested were Jarren Algiere, 32, of Hallsville, Connor Hardy, Jr., 18, Columbia, and two teenage juveniles, also of Columbia. The group was processed at MPSD and released pending charges by the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney, when the investigation is complete.
The release stated that during the month of May, the Mexico Public Safety Department responded “several times” to the vacant hospital property at 620 E. Monroe.
“This was due to reports of people getting into the building and other suspicious activity on the property,” the release stated.
The caretakers installed cameras, and just before 7:45 p.m. May 16, the cameras “alerted to people being in the building.” Officers found four people on hospital property and took them into custody.
