“This is the new orchard that we’re establishing. It’s going to produce more apples per acre.” says owner Brandt Schisler. After having to shut down apple picking season early this year, Schisler hopes the new trees will help make sure that doesn’t happen again.
Schisler invites local food trucks to come join in the fall fun. This is Pig Out Smokehouse’s first year at Hickory Ridge and just a few hours in, are doing well. “We’re almost sold out!” says owner Geoffrey Otto.
Emmerson Morrison, a student at Mexico Music, performs a song she wrote herself on the new stage during the open mic Saturday.
Payton Smith poses with her Ukulele following her first performance of the day with the Mexico Kids Ukulele group. Payton has been recognised for her incredible voice and trades in her ukulele for a microphone during Ukulele Festival Band’s performance.
Lacie Reetz performs with the Ukulele Festival Band Saturday.
