Dixie Collins, Association Executive of the Heart of Missouri Board of REALTORS®, is pleased to share with you a monthly statistics report regarding the Board’s real estate market for the month of January 2025. A total of 31 properties were sold in The Heart of Missouri Board of REALTORS® during the month of January. The total sales volume totaled $10,649,528. The median sales price increased significantly in January and was approximately $239,950. This was an 17 % increase over December 2024. Additionally, interest rates increased slightly in the month of January.
According to Freddie Mac, the national average commitment rate for a 30-year, conventional, fixed-rate mortgage increased to 6.96% in January from 6.72% in December 2024. By comparison, the interest rate in January of last year was 6.64 percent.
The Heart of Missouri Board of REALTORS® was established on Sept. 25, 1980 and serves several real estate markets. There are over 200 members on the Heart of Missouri Board consisting of primary, secondary, appraisers and affiliates. Members of the Board reside in Audrain, Callaway, Cole and Boone Counties.
