Audrain County Historical Society members approved three new board members at their March 27 meeting at the museum during the annual membership meeting.
Randy Gooch, David Maupin and Becky Schafer were approved to the board, and the board approved the continuation of board officers for President Bronwyn MacFarlane, Vice President Chelsea Regan-Baker, Secretary Becky Schafer and Treasurer Andy Baker, according to a news release.
ACHS board members also include past-president Debra Trabue, Walter Staley, Paul Baum, Laura Mackey, Jim Dye, Steve Kreyling and Glenn Hatfield. In addition to the annual meeting, ACHS members enjoyed social refreshments and participation in an engaging scavenger hunt to find details about Audrain County history on display throughout museum exhibits.
Annual awards were presented in appreciation of the involvement and commitment of members, staff and volunteers. MacFarlane presented the 2025 ACHS President’s Award to Paul Baum in recognition of his dedicated service to the “Walk Back in Time” living history festival of the Audrain County Historical Society.
ACHS Director Jennifer Prior presented the 2025 ACHS Director’s Award to the museum staff of Janice Robison, Nan Cox, Morgan, Sue Fennewald, Ethan Everhart and Consuelo Baum, in grateful recognition of their years of dedication and service to the ACHS organization, museums, WBIT living history festival and special museum events.
Prior also presented the 2025 ACHS Friend of the Museum Award to Brian Pursifull for his commitment to vital engagement among community members attending the annual holiday dinner “Christmas at Graceland.”
Also at the meeting, special upcoming community programs were reviewed, including the summer youth History Camp, the “Walk Back in Time” living history festival, the Miss Missouri dessert reception and more. To become an ACHS member, supporter, or volunteer, call the museum at 581-3910.
