Van-Far had to make the long trip to Perryville again for the district semifinals.

For the second straight year, the Indians' season ended after a loss to private school St. Vincent (11-0) as the state No. 1 Indians defeated state No. 7 Van-Far 49-8 on Saturday afternoon. Van-Far had six turnovers, and four of those turned into St. Vincent touchdowns. Gaven Gaston gave Van-Far the first points of the game on a 69-yard touchdown scored on the first drive of the game. Senior Reece Culwell aired out a deep pass to Gaston, who quickly took it down the right sideline to the end zone. Cayden Douglas ran for 55 yards on four carries in the first half, which had Van-Far trailing 21-8 at the end of it. Van-Far closes its season 8-3 for the program's second straight winning season (6-5 last year) following 16 consecutive losing seasons.
