Monday's sectional baseball game started to get away from Van-Far in the second inning.

The Indians lost 17-0 in three innings at Schuyler County in Queen City for their season to end at 9-14. It is the most wins for the Van-Far program since 10 victories its previous district championship year in 2018.

Van-Far trailed Schuyler County (19-6) 1-0 after one inning but then lost more ground in the second inning after a few errors and walks. The Indians were down 8-0 after two innings and then couldn't extend the game past the third inning.

Four Van-Far pitchers combined to walk nine Rams, and the top three in Schuyler County's order -- Kale Windy, Elliott Sevits and Gage Brownell -- hit a collective 7-for-10 with nine RBI and three extra-base hits.
