James Willis Camerer passed away on August 20, 2026, from a sudden heart attack. He was a loving father to his son, Aaron Camerer; his daughter, Jennife Camerer and his stepdaughter, Dr. Nicole Hams. He was also a proud and loving grandfather to his adopted grandson, Archer.
For the past fifteen years, James worked as an over-the-road truck driver, a career he not only enjoyed but excelled in. He was recognized as Driver of the Month on numerous occasions and received awards for his safe driving practices. Before becoming a truck driver, James worked as an excavator, another career he took pride in and enjoyed.
James had a deep love of soft rock music and never hesitated to belt out a favorite tune. He also had a passion for flying and scuba diving, activities he hoped to return to in the coming years. James had his own idiosyncrasies, but above all he was a God-fearing, warm-hearted, easygoing man who never met a stranger.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Winifred Camerer, his father, Lorenzo Camerer, and his brother, Mark Camer.
He is survived by life partner, Vicky Titus, his son, Aaron Camerer; his daughter, Jennifer Camerer, his stepdaughter, Dr. Nicole Hams; his sister, Carel, and many beloved family members and friends.
