Jane Blaine Price, 85, died peacefully on April 2, 2026 at her home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She was born on February 7, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri to James and Helen (Vossbrink) Davenport. Jane graduated from Normandy High School in 1958 where she met her husband, Jared Price. They were married September 9, 1961 and celebrated 55 years of marriage before his death in 2017. They moved to Mexico, Missouri where they resided for 51 years and raised their 3 daughters, Jeri, Jenny, and Jana. Jane worked for 35 years at the Mexico Ledger from which she retired in 2016.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jared Price; her sister Patricia Bonzon; and her son-in-law, Michael Glasenhardt. She is survived by her twin sister, Jean Walters of St. Louis, Missouri; her daughter Jeri Glasenhardt of Austin, Texas; her daughter Jennifer and her husband Rick Robinson of Wentzville, Missouri; her daughter Jana and her husband Brian Bailey of Collins, Missouri; and her 5 grandchildren, Brandon Robinson, James Glasenhardt, Samantha Glasenhardt, Brittany Robinson, and Caitlin Bailey, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at the committal shelter at the Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery 1479 County Road 1675, Jacksonville, Missouri at 11am on April 20, 2026, where she will be laid to rest with her husband. Those who wish to remember Jane in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery or to the Disabled American Veterans organization.
