Norma Jean Pollard, 90, of Sturgeon died Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Graveside services will be held 12 p.m. Monday Jan. 18 at East Lawn Memorial Park in Mexico.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia on Monday, Jan. 18.

To those attending the visitation and service are asked to wear a face mask, and maintain social distancing. Seating may be limited. Guidelines set forth by Boone County will be followed.

Jean was born on Sept. 19, 1930 in Mexico, the daughter of Carl and Ida (Hannabaum) Isenmann.

Jean graduated from Mexico High School and then received her bachelor of science degree from William Woods College.

On Aug. 15, 1953 in Mexico, Jean married Robert A. Pollard and he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2004.

Jean is survived by her sons, Bruce Pollard of Sturgeon, Brian Pollard and wife Lisa of Sturgeon; grandchildren, Nathan Pollard, Travis Pollard and wife Freedom, Erin Pollard and fianceā€™ Kasey Dial; great-grandchildren, Kinslee Pollard and Chloe Pollard.

Along with her husband, Robert, Jean was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Elizabeth Hicks.

Jean was a member of the Eastern Star, and the Sturgeon Christian Church, where she helped for many years with Bible School.

Jean was a teacher before dedicating her life to being a farmers wife and caring for her family and friends. Jean enjoyed helping with 4H, working at Wildwood Care Center, cooking for family and friends, reading, and attending church.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Sturgeon Christian Church and may be sent in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home, 104 S. Collier, Centralia, MO 65240.
