Lady Bulldog offense gradually builds to 5-0 win over Moberly

Posted

Through three innings on Tuesday, Mexico softball was looking for solid contact against Moberly's Brynn Goins.

The Lady Bulldogs found it to win 5-0 against their North Central Missouri Conference foe at the Mexico baseball field due to Gallop Field being too wet from recent rain. Aleigha Henderson finished 2-for-3 with two triples and two runs scored, and Keerstan Ewing allowed three Moberly (5-8, 2-3 NCMC) hits through seven innings. Henderson followed her 3-for-4 day with four RBI and two extra-base hits five days ago in a 11-10 loss at Fulton with two more extra base hits. Hannah Loyd hit a two-RBI double to follow the four RBI she acquired from two home runs hit at Fulton. Kaleigh Samuelson had a double but also laid down a bunt that advanced the future first run of the game.

Mexico (6-10, 3-2 NCMC) plays at Elsberry (15-4) at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
