The Mexico girls soccer seniors made their final game on Chris Hotop Field a good one.
The Lady Bulldogs beat North Central Missouri Conference and district rival 6-0 to extend their winning streak over their archrival Fulton (3-15, 0-9 NCMC) to six games while having goals from seniors. Emily Moppin scored two and Claire Hudson and Addison Paden each scored one while junior Zoey Norton added two goals. Mexico (7-14, 3-7 NCMC) honored six seniors -- Moppin, Hudson, Paden, Kenley Jones, Sherlyn Mena Lopez and Lilibeth Alvarez-Zapot --- after the game. Hudson played for the first time in 15 games, and defender Paden scored her first career goal.
Mexico wraps up the regular season at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Class 1 No. 15 Canton (4-7-1). The No. 6 seed Lady Bulldogs open the Class 2 District 3 tournament at Orchard Farm in St. Charles against No. 3 seed and Class 2 No. 10 St. Charles West (8-6-1) at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
