Mexico allowed eight runs off of home runs on Thursday.
The Lady Bulldogs allowed three home runs to North Central Missouri Conference arch rival Fulton at Gallop Field in Mexico and lost their regular season finale 10-8. Fulton finished off a perfect 10-0 conference season and took the season series over Mexico 2-1, including defeating the Lady Bulldogs 11-10 and losing to them 10-9. Hannah Loyd had a two-RBI triple in a fourth inning Mexico (14-14, 6-4 NCMC) took its biggest lead of 5-2. Maddie Bright hit a two-RBI home run in previous half inning, Layla Underwood tied the game with a three-RBI home run, and then Natalie Underwood gave Fulton (17-8) a 10-6 lead after a three-RBI home run in the seventh inning. Aleigha Henderson finished 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Mexico is the No. 3 seed in the Class 4 District 5 tournament and plays No. 6 seed Holt (4-11) at 4 p.m. Oct. 17 at Hannibal.
