All of the goals were coming from the other side this time.

After the Mexico girls scored seven goals Saturday morning, they lost 8-0 (mercy rule triggering with more than seven minutes left on the clock) to Festus (5-0) in the Chris Hotop Classic championship game six hours later. The Class 2 Lady Bulldogs (2-2) lost to Class 3 Festus in the title game for the second straight. The Lady Tigers recorded double-digit shots in each half and had two players net hat tricks -- Autumn Willis and Kaylin Brewer. Cassandra Young had 10 saves in goal for Mexico.

Mexico hosts district foe Wright City (2-0) for junior varsity and varsity starting at 5 p.m. Monday.
