Mexico girls soccer had another tight ame against Fatima on Wedmesday. The Lady Bulldogs fell short 5-3 at Chris Hotop Field in Mexico for their fourth straight loss against the Lady Comets -- third straight decided by two goals or less.
Despite outshooting Fatima 13-11, Mexico (1-2) trailed for most of the game after Claire Hudson scored the game's first goal in the eighth minute. Fatima (2-0) responded seconds later with a goal and then followed that with three unanswered goals. Mexico only trailed 4-3 for seconds in the 67th minute as Brenda Matuz's goal was answered by Kaitlyn Plassmeyer's second goal.
Plassmeyer and Hannah Heisler each had two goals for Fatima while Hudson had two goals for Mexico.
Mexico hosts the Chris Hotop Classic this Saturday.
