The fourth time didn't end any differently.
The No. 3 seed Mexico girls beat their conference rival and No. 6 seed Moberly 58-43 on Tuesday in the first round of the Class 4 District 8 tournament in Mexico. The Lady Bulldogs (13-13) trailed 22-18 at halftime but then outscored Moberly 28-12 in the third quarter. Claire Hudson finished with a triple-double of 12 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, Alyssa Miller followed with 16 points, and Payton Shaw had eight points and four rebounds. Olivia Dunwoody led Moberly (4-22) with 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Ariyonna Gross followed with nine points.
Mexico faces another conference rival Fulton (10-15) at 7:15 p.m. Thursday in the district semifinals in Mexico. The teams have split the first two meetings of the season.
