Mexico couldn't prolong its season on Tuesday in the Class 3 District 7 volleyball tournament at Fulton. The Lady Bulldogs were swept in three sets by Hallsville 25-17, 25-20 and 25-21. Despite leading 12-3 early in the third set, Mexico couldn't hold Hallsville (9-18-5) down as the Lady Indians put together longer runs to make Mexico's final record this season 4-21-1. Conversely, Mexico struggled to keep points alive but found some success at points of the match.
Senior Mary Test displayed good serving to help Mexico go on small runs, leading the team with three service aces to go with four kills. JaClynn Cline had five kills, two aces and a block, Ava Herron had three kills and two aces, and senior Lizzie Joiner finished with three kills.
