Lady Bulldogs shut out by Marshall 4-0 at home

The Mexico girls were shut out for the second straight game.

The Lady Bulldogs played its second straight North Central Missouri Conference opponent following an 8-0 loss last night at Hannibal (7-2, 4-0 NCMC with four shutouts) and lost 4-0 to Marshall (4-5, 1-1 NCMC) on Tuesday at home. Taylor Fann had a hat trick, and the Lady Owls scored three goals in the second half to pull away. Cassandra Young made seven saves, and Mexico (4-5, 1-2 NCMC) kept Marshall off the scoreboard until the final seconds of the first half despite allowing 10 shots and 10-11 corner kicks.

Mexico looks to break its three-game losing streak at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at home against conference and district foe  Moberly (5-2, 1-1 NCMC).
