For the first time in eight meetings, Mexico volleyball knocked off its North Central Missouri Conference rival.

The Lady Bulldogs defeated district foe and reigning district champion Fulton in four sets (25-18, 25-13, 20-25, 25-7) on Monday at home to begin the season, securing the program's first conference win since Sept. 7 last season against Marshall. Varsity hadn't beaten Fulton since 2020 and this victory wrapped up a three-match sweep that involved the junior varsity B squad winning 25-22 and 25-21 and the junior varsity A squad winning 19-25, 25-23 and 25-19.

(Unofficial stats) Jaclynn Cline led Mexico during the varsity match with nine kills and also had 15 digs, Claire Isgrig finished with a team-high 67 assists, Skyler Arnold led the team with 36 digs, and Emily Moppin had four kills and 15 digs.

Mexico hosts another conference opponent Kirksville (2-1) around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
