The Centralia girls had to fight from a deficit on Tuesday night.
The Class 3 No. 3 Lady Panthers were only down 26-25 to Boonville at home but faced a tougher contest in their second game this season against the Lady Pirates. Centralia won 57-46 for its fifth straight win, outrebounding Boonville 47-28 and finishing with 25 offensive rebounds. Braylin Brunkhorst led Centralia (13-1) and the floor with 24 points and 13 rebounds, Ryenn Gordon had 17 points, four assists and three 3-pointers, and Ealynne Bostick had eight points and 10 rebounds. Katie Drummond led Boonville (8-8) with 12 points, Bella Imhoff had 11 points, and Beth Giroux had 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Centralia hosts Class 1 No. 1 Cairo (11-3) at 6 p.m. Friday.
