The Centralia Lady Panthers three-peated as champions of their home tournament earlier this season and earned another three-peat on Saturday night.
Class 3 No. 3 Centralia defeated Harrisburg, who received votes in the most recent Class 2 state poll, 61-47 in the Harrisburg Tournament championship game to win the event for third consecutive year. It is also the third straight year that the Lady Panthers (17-1) have won both of their regular season tournaments in Centralia and Harrisburg. Centralia began the game strong with an 18-7 lead after one and 35-18 halftime lead that grew to more than 20 points in the second half. Braylin Brunkhorst led the Lady Panthers with 22 points and seven rebounds, Ryenn Gordon followed with 17 points, eight rebounds and four 3-pointers in the first half, Madi Johnson had eight points and Ealynne Bostick finished with seven points. Harrisburg (15-3) was led by Lorelai Hunziker's 17 points, Avelina McKinzie followed with 12 points and Brette Ackman had 11 points and three 3-pointers.
Brunkhorst, Gordon, Johnson, Hunziker, McKenzie and Macie Ellis were all named to the all-tournament team.
Centralia (1-0 CCC) hosts Clarence Cannon Conference foe Macon (6-13) at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
