Community R-6 didn't play its best game on Saturday in a one-and-done situation. The top-seeded Lady Trojans lost 12-10 to No. 8 seed Clopton in the Class 1 District 4 tournament at Westran in Huntsville despite leading 7-1 after three innings. After some shaky defense that included three errors and 11 walks issued, Clopton tied the game at 7 and then took a 10-7 lead in the sixth inning thanks to a go-ahead two-RBI double by Brooke Jarrett. In her final game, senior Brooklynn Glasgow took a two-strike, two-out pitch and turned it into a game-tying double in the sixth inning, giving Community nine two-out runs. The Lady Hawks managed to slide under Glasgow's tag at home plate and had another score on the play in a confusion.

Glasgow finished 3-4 with three RBI and two doubles, Paige Painter had a bases-clearing double in the second inning and Amy McCurdy was 2-for-5 with a RBI triple in the second inning.

Community ends the season at 22-10, which is a single-season program record and a personal-best for head coach Kendra Murphy. The Lady Trojans also won its fourth conference title in five years by going undefeated in the Central Activities Conference in every one of those seasons.
