Community R-6's defense broke in the fifth inning.
In Saturday's Paris Tournament championship game (the program's first regular season tournament title game since 2021's Cairo Tournament), the Lady Trojans allowed Salisbury to score five runs in the fifth inning in an 8-5 loss. Community's seven errors and one run in the final six innings caught up to the team after an 11-4 win over Canton and a 5-4 win over host Paris. Community (16-6) wrapped up Canton in five innings with 11 hits in the program's first victory over the Tigers after seven straight losses, and then defeated district foe Paris for the second time in three meetings.
