North Callaway softball held Eastern Missouri Conference for Mark Twain to win 6-5 on Tuesday at home, breathing a sigh of relief and then expressed gratitude for each of the team's seniors. Corynne Miller and Brianna Prosser were able to win on Senior Night as Ella Slater finished with three RBI, Kymorie Myers drove in her 42nd RBI (which is believed to be a school single-season record), Abigail Schmidt had the game-winning RBI, and Liv Knoepflein struck out four and allowed an unearned in 4 1/3 innings and Lauren Speight struck out five in 3 2/3 innings.

Miller drew two walks and stole two bases, one of which set her up to eventually score on a passed ball. Prosser fielded the final out to secure the victory. In 92 career games going into Tuesday's contest, Miller has .364 batting average, .463 on-base percentage, 103 hits, 90 runs, 21 stolen bases, 10 doubles and five triples. In Prosser's 66 games as a Ladybird after transferring from Battle during her freshman year, she has .313 average, .346 on-base percentage, 61 hits, 38 runs, nine doubles and three triples.

"They're good bats and smart baserunners. That is what they both are," head coach Mariah McKee said. "It's going to be missed on our lineup next year for sure. "

North Callaway junior varsity defeated Mark Twain 9-0. Megan Schmidt threw a perfect game, striking out 13 of the 15 batters she faced, and also hit a home run in the victory.
