North Callaway softball lost the lead twice on Tuesday at home but victory was still ahead.
The Ladybirds defeated Eastern Missouri Conference foe Wright City 7-4 despite the Lady Wildcats (2-5, 0-2 EMO) tying the game at 3 in the fifth inning and 4 in the sixth inning. Kymorie Myers, who finished 3-for-4, hit a two-RBI triple in the sixth inning to precede a RBI double by Abigail Schmidt. Maddy Gordon singled and reached third base on a two-base outfield error to lead off the sixth inning.
Liv Knoepflein had two RBI to match Myers' total, Schmidt was 2-for-4 with a RBI, and Ella Slater had a RBI.
North Callaway (6-2, 2-0 EMO) plays another conference game at 5 p.m. Thursday at Wellsville-Middletown (0-4).
