North Callaway went 1-2 in its first softball games of the season on Saturday at the Hallsville Tournament.

The Ladybirds lost 5-0 to Eldon in five innings, defeated Salisbury 14-1 in three innings and lost 5-3 to Hallsville in three and half innings in the fifth-place game. North Callaway took a 3-1 lead over Hallsville in the top of the third inning on a 2-RBI double by Kymorie Myers and a RBI single by Kendra Pennell, but Grace Kempf hit a three-RBI home run for Hallsville before the hour-and-15-minute time limit elapsed.
