Bowling Green 65 Van-Far 6 in Vandalia

Van-Far (1-5) was hit hard and quickly by Eastern Missouri Conference foe Bowling Green (4-2) at home, trailing 37-0 after the first quarter, to lose the Wagon Wheel game to the Bobcats for the first time since 2024.

Bowling Green scored four times on the first play from scrimmage, and its defense scored twice in the first quarter on fumble recovery and interception. Van-Far stopped them twice in fourth down, and the Indians scored in the final seconds on a three-yard run by Ronnie Stanich.

Van-Far plays at conference foe Wright City (2-4) at 7 p.m. Friday.

Kirksville 42 Mexico 15 in Kirksville

Mexico (3-3) had turnover problems yet again on the road. The Bulldogs lost four fumbles and had two of them returned for touchdowns to fall behind district foe Kirksville 35-7 at halftime and eventually lost 42-15.

The Bulldogs tied the game at 7 in the first quarter after a Kyler Benne sneak touchdown. Kirksville (2-4) had a 42-7 lead until a Kale Leverett safety and Connor Fisher ran for a touchdown happened in the fourth quarter. Kirksville still broke a three-game losing streak to Mexico.

Mexico hosts Rolla (2-3) for Homecoming at 7 p.m. Friday.

Class 2 No. 1 Centralia 44 Monroe City 6 in Centralia

After Centralia (6-0, 3-0 CCC) lost its last two meetings against Clarence Cannon Conference rival Monroe City (3-3, 2-1 CCC) by a combined six points, the Panthers defeated Monroe City on Homecoming and Senior Night.

Centralia led 22-0 at halftime despite the first touchdown not being scored until about two minutes were left in the first quarter.

Centralia plays at Clark County (1-5) at 7 p.m. Friday.

North Callaway 58 Louisiana 15 in Kingdom City

North Callaway (4-2, 3-0 EMO) had a good Homecoming by defeating Eastern Missouri Conference foe Louisiana (4-2, 2-2 EMO) at home. The Thunderbirds led 36-15 at halftime, with seniors Coltyn O'Neal, Collin Moore and Jaiden Galbreath all scoring touchdowns in the first half.

O'Neal threw for two and ran for two as he finished with 195 yards on 15-for-24 passing and he ran for 35 yards. Moore ran for 156 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries, and Galbreath ran for 112 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Louisiana finished with 71 rushing yards.

North Callaway plays at conference foe Mark Twain (1-5) at 7 p.m. Friday.

Knox County 30 Paris 28 in Paris

Paris (3-2) couldn't get over the hump at the end of Friday night's home game, losing its second straight game against  district opponent and the second straight time against Knox County (5-1). 

The Coyotes trailed by one possession at some points of the night, including 16-12 at halftime. However, Paris led after the opening kickoff return for a touchdown by Logan Mitchell, led 12-8 until Knox County scored with one second left before halftime, and were ahead by six points until Knox County tied the game and converted on a two-point conversion to win. Mitchell also had a receiving touchdown, and Sawyer Clements ran for two touchdowns and 76 yards and led with 14 tackles on defense.

Paris hosts Keytesville (0-5) at 7 p.m. Friday.
