The Show-Me Little Sisters program had more than 60 girls participate this year at the 2023 Miss Missouri and Miss Teen Missouri Pageant in Mexico.
The program started as a way to help fundraise for the Miss Missouri Scholarship Organization and help younger girls get a leg up on what it’s like to compete in the Miss America program. The program is open to girls ages 5-12 and they are paired with a Miss Missouri or Miss Teen Missouri local contest winner.
The Little Sisters benefit from the opportunity to be mentored by their “big sister” which includes participating in special events throughout the year at local and state events including the four days of the Miss Missouri and Miss Teen Missouri competitions. All four nights the little sisters were featured in the on-stage production. Many of the little sisters are from Audrain County.
