A Vandalia man wanted on a warrant was arrested early Feb. 26 on a traffic stop in Audrain County,, an Audrain County Sheriff's Office release stated.
Shortly before 1:10 a.m., Audrain County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Michael D. Ogden, 40, after a vehicle stop along Audrain Road 572. He was found to be armed with a handgun. Deputies had been seeking Ogden for several weeks following the issuance of an Audrain County felony arrest warrant for multiple felony offenses he was alleged to have committed, the release stated. Those charges are armed criminal action, assault first and fourth degree, burglary first degree, child endangerment, harassment first degree, kidnapping first degree, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
Ogden was taken to the Audrain County Jail, where he is held pending adjudication of his charges, the release stated.
