Marianne Manetta Hubert

At the age of 93, Marianne Manetta Hubert of Madison, MO passed away on Aug 27, 2026. She was born on Sept 4, 1932 in Davenport, Iowa. She was the first born child and only daughter of Walter and Helen (Helkenn) Petersen. She graduated from Davenport High school in 1950. In 1951 she moved to a farm in Mexico, MO with her parents and three brothers. She married Robert L. Hubert of Mexico, MO June 7, 1952. They were proud parents of three sons Dwight, Gene and Hoyt. Over the years they lived in Mexico, Santa Fe, Sturgeon and Madison MO. When her sons were young she enjoyed being a homemaker. In later years she worked a variety of jobs in the Mexico and Paris area. She retired in 1991 from her role as the City Clerk of Madison, MO.

Over the years Marianne enjoyed dancing, bicycling, gardening, reading and just being in the sunshine. Her greatest joy and blessing in life were her three sons and three grandsons. She was so proud of all they accomplished. She was very grateful they were never too busy to let her know they cared and loved her.

She is survived by her three grandsons Justin and Logan Hubert of Madison, MO and Macon Hubert of Durham, NC, her brother Warren and his wife Elka of Germany. She was proceed in death by her parents, husband Robert, her three sons Dwight, Gene and Hoyt, and her brothers Walter and Harvey.

Memorial Services will be held on September 26 at the Madison Community Center, 115 S. Main Street, Madison, MO. Visitation at 4pm, Memorial services at 5pm and a Memorial dance from 7-9pm. She enjoyed dancing so much that Marianne wanted Memorial donations made to Mid Missouri Traditional Dancers in lieu of flowers. Donations can be mailed to 503 E.
