Position sought: Mexico City Council
Previous political experience: City council member since 2023
Why are you running and why should people vote for you?
I’ve been interested and involved in numerous organizations in Mexico for a number of years. I grew up here and came back, after college, to be a part of this community. I think my business experience and community involvement help me look at Mexico in an objective way. Additionally, since I am pretty much retired, I have the time to spend doing the job of a city council member.
What are your goals if elected?
Help locate a hospital here; try to help renovate/beautify downtown; help make decision on city hall location/rebuild; help improve streets - those which are the responsibility of the city - most of those which need the most help are the responsibility of the state; try to help builders/developers find solutions for affordable housing which is badly needed; and always try to identify and assist businesses which are looking to relocate to somewhere like Mexico and assist those already here who are looking to expand. Neither I nor any other city council member would be able to do the work for the preceding but we can look to provide the resources for those who have the expertise to do it.
What issues are most pressing for your constituency?
Hospital, affordable housing, job opportunities
