Mexico's scoring surge continued through a state-ranked team on Monday.

The Bulldogs beat Class 3 No. 5 North Callaway 15-2 in five innings after sealing the game with an 11-run fifth inning, following a 2-1 weekend in Eugene where the Bulldogs (10-7) scored 41 runs. The Thunderbirds (8-1) lost their first game of the season after allowing a season-high seven errors, which gave way to nine unearned runs charged to Keaton Bell. Mexico finished with 13 hits, and Austin Maxwell only allowed one hit in five innings on the mound for Mexico to go along with nine strikeouts, four walks and two earned runs. Landon Hilderman and Kaden Benne each went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a double, Drew DeMint finished 2-for-4 with three RBI, Jaydon Eldridge went 2-for-3 with one RBI, and Maxwell, Brady Fox, Chance McCarty and Brayden Arnold each had one RBI in a game where every Mexico hitter had at least one hit. Carson Bassett went 1-for-1 with one RBI and a walk for North Callaway, and Chance Green had one RBI.
