Football was back at Hawthorne Heights on Friday in Mexico. The Bulldogs had their record fall to 0-2 after losing 49-14. Mexico had 181 yards of total offense, but Southern Boone quarterback Austin Evans had 224 yards on 11-for-16 passing and five total touchdowns -- four passing. Peyton Hoover had a rushing touchdown for Mexico, and Tyson Carr threw a 50-yard touchdown to Shantez Dorsey.
Before the game, chain crew member Keven Nichols was honored for his 50 years served on the Mexico crew.
