A Mexico home sustained various kinds of damage after a fire Monday.
There were no injuries.
Mexico Public Safety Department personnel responded at 10:55 a.m. to the fire at a home in the 2700 block of Bluebird Drive, according to a MPSD release. The resident reported coming home to find smoke coming from the house, and MPSD personnel found a fire in the basement.
The fire was extinguished with the room sustaining moderate heat and fire damage and the rest of the home suffering significant smoke damage, the release stated.
“The fire started in the area where a large remote-control vehicle was charging,” the release stated.
