Mexico loses via mercy rule on pitch to rival Fulton

Mexico's slow start hurt the Bulldogs as they lost to the quick Fulton Hornets 9-1 via the mercy rule in the 62nd minute on Monday at Chris Hotop Field in Mexico. The Bulldogs allowed five goals to their North Central Missouri Conference rival within the first 20 minutes and allowed two hat tricks, netted by Jayden Ayers and Lane Henley. Brendan McKeown scored Mexico's only goal in the 24th minute, and Emille Scanavino made 19 save in goal.

Mexico (6-9-2, 0-7 NCMC) plays 5 p.m. tonight at conference foe Kirksville (7-7, 4-3 NCMC), who defeated Mexico 4-0 in Mexico in September.
