A Mexico man was arrested Feb. 28 after a foot chase after he allegedly trespassed in a business and had other charges, according to a Mexico Public Safety Department release.
Shawntarius E.T. Hoffman, 20, was arrested on charges of trespassing (four counts), stealing under $150, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arresting.
Just before noon Feb. 28, Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the 100 block of North Western regarding a person being inside of a business he had been banned from, the release stated. Officers found the individual, Hoffman, on another property he had been banned from in the 800 block of West Monroe. When officers attempted to contact Hoffman, he ran, the release stated.
Officers chased Hoffman on foot for around six blocks before taking him into custody, and he was processed at MPSD and taken to the Audrain County Jail. There were no injuries from the incident.
