A Mexico woman was charged with multiple child sex crimes, according to information from the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
Kaila Nikkole Browning was charged with five counts of statutory sodomy first degree with a child under 12 years old and five counts of child molestation in the first degree-aggravated offender.
Browning remains in the Audrain County Jail pending the resolution of the charges, and is held without bond at this point, said Jacob Shellabarger, Audrain County prosecuting attorney, in an email.
Court records show the cases, all felonies, are alleged to have occurred in May 2021. Charges were filed this week.
