Area golfers had one final chance before the Missouri Junior Tour championship in about a week.
Mexico’s Aidan Knipfel has played in the Missouri Golf Association summer tour and was in one of the final two tournaments this week. Knipfel finished 10th in the 16-18-year-old male group at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield on Tuesday while others competed at The Golf Club at Deer Chase in Linn Creek on Wednesday.
Knipfel shot an 84, or 12-over par, to finish 11 strokes behind leaders Dylan Bryan, of Jefferson City, and Jacob Anderson, of Ashland. Throughout the day, Knipfel had eight pars and one birdie.
