MFA Oil Company, a farmer-owned energy cooperative, announced in a news release that its 11th annual Charity Golf Scramble and Concert raised $150,000 in donations to support Feeding Missouri’s mission of hunger relief throughout the state. The event was held on June 2 at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia and welcomed more than 240 golfers.

“At MFA Oil, we are committed to giving back to the communities we serve,” said MFA Oil President and CEO Jon Ihler in the release. “Feeding Missouri is doing vital work to address food insecurity across the state, and we are honored to contribute to their mission. Together, we can help ensure our neighbors have access to the food and resources they need.”

In addition to the golf tournament, attendees enjoyed dinner and a private concert by country music artist Chris Lane, continuing a tradition of combining fun and philanthropy to make a lasting impact.

“MFA Oil’s ongoing support is a crucial lifeline during these uncertain times,” Feeding Missouri Executive Director Heather Hargrove said in the release. “We are profoundly thankful for their dedication to our mission to transform hunger into hope. With over 951,000 Missourians experiencing food insecurity, the need is greater than ever. Generous partners, like MFA Oil, allow our food banks to provide much-needed assistance and ensure we can support our neighbors working hard to make ends meet.”

Feeding Missouri is a coalition of Missouri’s six regional Feeding America food banks. Through a statewide network of more than 1,200 community and faith-based organizations, it delivers hunger relief to every county in Missouri, including the city of St. Louis.

MFA Oil thanked the many sponsors whose generous support made the tournament and concert possible, including: platinum sponsors CHS Inc and OMNTEC; gold sponsor Highline Warren; silver sponsors Brown & Brown, Little Dixie Construction, MidContinental Chemical Company, Inc., McLane Company, and NAPA Auto Parts; bronze sponsors Alliance, AutoZone, Crockett Engineering, Fiscal Systems, Growmark, HF Sinclair, Keurig Dr. Pepper, MAHK Advertising, Mars Wrigley, MFA Incorporated, Pepsi, Premier Truck Group of Columbia, Smith Lewis, LLP, TBC Corporation; premium tee gift sponsors Celsius and Commerce Bank; dinner sponsor CoBank; lunch sponsor Seneca Companies; and concert sponsor Red Bull. MFA Oil also thanks Big O Tires and Break Time customers for their generous contributions to this important cause, the release stated.
