Missouri Military Academy JROTC Raiders earn third place at National JROTC Raiders Challenge

Missouri Military Academy’s Army JROTC Raiders placed third overall in the Challenge Level Male Division at the JROTC National Raider Challenge, held April 16–19, 2026, at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

The military-style competition tests cadets across a series of physically and mentally demanding events, including the rope bridge, Physical Team Test, 5K team run, Cross Country Rescue and gauntlet.

“Earning a third-place finish on the national stage reflects the self-discipline, resilience and teamwork our cadets demonstrate every day,” said MMA President Brigadier General Richard V. Geraci, USA (Ret). “To compete against hundreds of teams from across the nation and earn this accomplishment speaks to their preparation, leadership and commitment to excellence. We are proud of how they represented the Academy on the national stage.”

MMA’s event placements included 7th in the Rope Bridge, 6th in the Physical Team Test, 4th in the 5K Team Run, 9th in Cross Country Rescue, and 3rd in the Gauntlet.

The MMA JROTC roster for the national competition included Cadet Deonte Kerns ’26, Cadet Daniel Bravo ’27, Cadet Luis Rey ’26, Cadet Rfred Cordero ’28, Cadet Buyanjargal Nyamdava ’27, Cadet Dario Rodriguez ’27, Cadet John Trippe ’26, Cadet Beckett Sears ’26, Cadet Grayson Hanson ’27, Cadet Clayton Reich ’26, Cadet Leonardo Morales ’28, Cadet Jordan Milzark ’28, Cadet David Woodcock ’27, Cadet William Pennington ’27, Cadet Duane Thompson ’26 and Cadet Creed Martin ’30. The team is coached by 1SG William Blue, USA (Ret), and CW4 Jason Landrum, USA (Ret).
