A grass fire in the front yard of a residence was extinguished on Wednesday.
There were no injuries or personal property damage from the incident, according to a news release from the Mexico Public Safety Department.
At approximately 1:26 p.m., MPSD responded to the 700 block of Robinhood in reference to a grass fire. Responding personnel found the grass in the front yard of a residence burning. The fire was beginning to spread into a neighboring yard when it was extinguished.
The release stated that the resident had been burning leaves and yard waste when the fire spread beyond their control.
