Yesterday at approximately 7:04 p.m., MPSD responded to a crash in the 4800 block of South Clark Street. According to the release, a black, 2015 Cadillac SUV was traveling southbound when it failed to make the curve and traveled off the roadway. The Cadillac traveled approximately one-tenth of a mile when it struck a section of raised ground and began flipping end over end, for about another one-tenth of a mile before coming to rest on its roof.
The driver and his passenger were able to exit the vehicle with minimal assistance. Audrain Ambulance District transported both men to University Hospital.
The release stated that several witnesses reported the vehicle traveling at excessive speeds and the driver operating the vehicle recklessly just prior to the crash.
