On Wednesday, Feb. 12 at about 8:57 a.m., the Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the 600 block of MacFarlane in reference to the residents waking up to find someone inside their home. Responding personnel found Jordan T McCoy, age 18 of Mexico, on scene and arrested him. McCoy was processed at MPSD and taken to the Audrain County Jail on a 24-hour hold pending charges for Burglary 1st degree, Property Damage 2nd degree, and Minor In Possession of Intoxicating Liquor. There were no injuries during the incident.
Residents are reminded the people arrested / charged with a crime simply accused of the crime and are to be considered innocent until proven guilty.
