A new historical plaque mounted on the brick exterior of 100 West Jackson Street, marks it as a recognized landmark in the Square District.
Research spearheaded by Mainstreet Mexico Board member David Maupin honors the rich heritage of the site — from its origins as the 1866 Ringo House to its 1935 reconstruction as the Mexico Savings/Commerce Bank, and its current life since 1996 as the Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce headquarters.
Barry Thoenen assisted in mounting the plaque. He is pictured with David Maupin and Chamber Director, Dana Keller.
