Night at the Graceland Museum

Once a month, a business can sponsor the chamber of commerce for “Business After Hours”. On Sept. 24, the Historical Society welcomed the chamber with refreshments in the main room allowing them the opportunity to mingle and get a behind-the-scenes look at the museum. All of the exhibits and museums were open and everyone was free to walk around the grounds.

“It’s good networking.” says chamber member Penny Rutherford. “It’s a way for them to show their business off and what they have to offer the community.

The Audrain County Historical Society took this opportunity to bring the chamber of commerce up to speed with everything happening at the historical society including introducing the new executive director, Jennifer Prior.

“We would really like to encourage the development of corporate memberships this evening” says Bronwyn MacFarlane.

If you think you’ve seen the Graceland Museum and it's all the same, get ready because according to Prior, “It won't be, come next year.”
