North Callaway football was back to its winning ways last season with the return of head coach and athletic director Kevin O'Neal to the sidelines as the Thunderbirds finished 7-4. Their season was cut short in the second round of districts against Class 2 state champion Blair Oaks. This year, North Callaway has several spots it looks to fill that were occupied from seniors that graduated, including quarterback. The Thunderbirds have a preseason jamboree on Aug. 18 at Fayette but then open their season on Aug. 25 at home against Westran before going on the road the next Friday against Macon.
