North Callaway's torrid start to the softball season continued on Thursday as the Ladybirds defeated Eastern Missouri Conference for Van-Far 16-1 in four innings. The bats were hot at the start of the game for North Callaway as 17 batters came to the plate to tally nine hits and 12 runs in the first inning.
For North Callaway, Kymorie Myers finished 3-for-3 with four runs, two RBI, a double and a triple, Ella Slater was 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI and a double, Abigail Schmidt was 2-for-3 with four RBI, Corynne Miller was 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double, and Faith Cash was 2-for-3 with two RBI. Lauren Speight pitched four innings with five hits, one run and two strikeouts for the Ladybirds. For Van-Far, Elliott Utterback finished 2-for-2 and Carmen Wilburn had an RBI.
