The Centralia boys paid Boonville back.
The Panthers defeated the Pirates 53-41 on Saturday in the Centralia Invitational third-place game, following a 61-52 loss in Centralia earlier this season to Boonville. Centralia's offense was led in separate halves by its all-tournament team members. Anthony Ford (six rebounds) scored 13 of his 17 points in the first half while Travis Brooks (nine rebounds) scored all 14 of his points in the second half. Brooks hit four straight 3-pointers in the third quarter to help the Panthers pull away. Quin Eckler added nine points.
Braylon Ellison made the all-tournament team for Boonville and was the Pirates' leading scorer and rebounder with 18 points and eight rebounds. Landon Conz was the other all-tournament team member for Boonville.
Centralia plays at California (3-2) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
