The Centralia boys are putting this one behind them.
The Panthers opened the season with a 72-38 loss to School of the Osage on Tuesday at home, trailing 34-17 at halftime. Osage outrebounded Centralia 33-18, and the Panthers only had two 3-pointers. Anthony Ford led Centralia with six points and three steals, and Hunter Hull also had six points. Jackson Long had an effective night from long range for Osage, hitting five 3-pointers and leading the Indians with 19 points. Blake Harrison had 16 points and eight rebounds for Osage, and Dayne Depee finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.
Centralia hosts North Callaway (1-0) after the Thanksgiving break at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3.
