The Centralia boys' 2025 didn't start with a strong shooting performance on Friday night.
The Panthers fell behind 27-13 before eventually losing 57-48 at Moberly. They cut their deficit to 52-46 with less than a minute left in the fourth quarter but didn't have enough offense as Moberly (7-3) knocked down free throws. Ethan Ross led Centralia (4-5) with 11 points and had 11 rebounds, Hunter Hull followed with eight points and two 3-pointers, Anthony Ford pulled down a team-high 13 rebounds, and Travis Brooks had nine rebounds before leaving the game at halftime due to precautionary health reasons (hit head on floor). Cameron Doubrava led Moberly with 22 points and four 3-pointers, Collin Knox followed with 11 points and eight rebounds, and Mason Bivins had 10 points, four steals and two blocks.
Centralia plays at Bowling Green (6-2) at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
